FAQ

How does the RACC work?

Our new approach combines ease and function with durability and smart design.  The RACC attaches to any standard or after market roof rack- on universal/adjustable mounting pedestals.  It deploys by one person, and is completely set up in less than two minutes.  No support legs or guy wires are required.  When you are ready to get back on the road, the RACC can then remain ontop of your vehicle, secured in its travel bag, traveling wherever your adventures might take you.

Where can I buy a RACC?

Right Here! Athough we are no longer processing orders online, you may place an order by calling us at 770.318.6078.

New retailers are being added all the time. If you prefer to see the product for yourself before you buy, please email us with your location and we will let you know which one is closest to you.

What kind of car can I use the RACC on?

The RACC attaches to any kind of roof rack, factory or aftermarket.  The four attaching pedestals sit on top of the cross bars and secure by using industrial grade hook and loop straps.  The height of each pedestal is adjustable to clear large lift doors found on most SUV’s and minivans.  For vehicles that do not come standard with cross bars on the factory roof rails the RACC system can be deployed to the side of the vehicle.  In this configuration minivans could have shade over the sliding door area and the RACC system would be stored across the roof of the vehicle instead of lengthwise.

The flexibility of the RACCs mounting system is incredible.  We are always looking for ways to make our product better and useful to people that do not have roof racks.  All RACC systems will be compatible with future options to attach to vehicle receiver hitches and stationary objects.

What about the Wind?

The Wind is no worry for the RACC. Remember, the RACC is attached to your vehicle.  When the RACC is fully deployed, vents in the peak of the canopy allow wind to move through the canopy and reduce lifting.  Locking pins hold the main hinges in the fully open position.  All wind loads are resolved into the roof rack of your vehicle.  This combination of features allows the RACC to be enjoyed in places you would not dream of using a standard four-legged canopies without cumbersome sandbags and tie downs.
